Where did the name come from?
Spyro (spear - oh) is the owner's first name.
Why do you close so early?
Jean and Spyro want to spend as much time as possible with their children so they set the hours accordingly. You may even see the kids working there on the weekends!
Is Spyro's Pancake House tied to any other restaurant?
Spyro and Jean owned Tasty King Gyros on South Anthony Boulevard for 10 years. They decided to sell it to their partner and run Spyro's Pancake House by themselves. They are not connected with any other restaurants.
Can we make reservations?
You may make reservations for parties of 6 or more, but it is not required. Although we do our best to fit you in at your requested time, please understand that the time is not guaranteed.
Do you offer gift certificates?
Yes, gift certificates are available in any denomination.
What was the building before it was Spyro's Pancake House?
The building was built in 1960 and opened as a Burger Chef. It then became a Hardee's and finally a Taco Taco. All of the remodeling was done by Spyro and the decorating was done by Jean. Jean hand picked every picture and plant that is in the restaurant.
Can I own a Spyro's Pancake House?
You may be able to! Please contact us through the website, or stop by the restaurant to discuss the terms.
